In late March of 2002, 13 artists sat down on the floor around a huge rock with the goal of opening an art gallery where local artists could exhibit and sell their work. These visionaries accomplished their goal with the opening of The Courtyard Gallery on May 15, 2002. To showcase local art continues to be our goal.
In our gallery we have original wall art in many mediums as well as stained glass, hand painted and digital photography cards, hand crafted jewelry, pottery, fiber art, inlaid wood pieces, photography as well as many artist-made gift items. New art is being brought in all the time. There is even a Christmas corner.
It is not unusual for patrons to compliment the quality and selection we carry, and all by local artists. We also carry quality art supplies at reasonable prices as well as offer a variety of classes throughout the year. We are no longer in the same building with the rock, but have moved to a much larger space – just across the street at 310 E. Main. We would be most honored to have you come visit us.
